Switch OFF ignition.

Disconnect Clutch Vacuum Vent Valve Switch -F36- harness connector.

-

Switch Fluke 83 multimeter to resistance range.

-

Measure resistance at switch terminals.

Specification:

-

Clutch not depressed: maximum 10 Ohms

-

Clutch depressed: infinity Ohms

If specifications not obtained

-

Replace Clutch Vacuum Vent Valve Switch -F36-.

-

Display the Readiness code. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles
and Readiness Codes 

If DTC memory has been erased

-

Set the Readiness code again. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles
and Readiness Codes 

If specifications obtained

-

Connect VAG 1598/22 (or 1598/31) Test Box to ECM wiring harness.
