Clamp drive axle in vise.

-

Drive screwdriver or similar into cover and pry off cover.

-

If cover cannot be pried off, drive screwdriver or similar through on opposite side, then pry off cover.

-

Mark installation position of components 1, 2 and 3.
1. Triple rotor joint housing
2. Triple-rotor star
3. Axle shaft

Notes: 

-

Noises while driving may result if the indicated parts are not reassemble to their prior positions.

-

Use a waterproof felt tipped pen for marking parts.

-

Remove seal (arrow) from groove.

-

Hold triple rotor joint housing and remove axle shaft from vise.

CAUTION:

-

Make sure that the rollers do not slide off the triple-rotor star and fall off.

-

Hold axle shaft and triple rotor joint housing vertical and use other hand to slowly slide housing back.

-

Using felt tipped pen, mark installation position of rollers -1- to triple-rotor star -2-.

-

Remove rollers -1- and place on clean surface.
