Safety Precautions For Seatbelt Tensioners
CAUTION:

Checking, removing, installing and servicing may ONLY be performed by qualified personnel.

When connecting seat belt tensioner unit, all mechanical parts including those of three-point seat belt must be correctly attached.

pyrotechnic ignition charge does not have an expiration date, i.e. it has an infinite shelf life and is maintenance free.

Only person performing this work must be present inside car.

NEVER open or attempt to repair belt tensioner components; always use new parts.

Always wash your hands after touching seat belt tensioners which have been activated.

Storage and transportation of seat belt tensioners is covered by Explosives Act.

Deployed seat belt tensioners do not have to be disposed of as hazardous waste, but can be discarded in a normal manner. It is
recommended, however, that deployed seat belt tensioners be recycled.

Belt tensioner units which have fallen to ground must no longer be installed in vehicle.

Always replace belt tensioner units which have experienced mechanical damage (dents, cracks).

NEVER use impact wrenches to remove belt tensioners.

Always install belt tensioner units in vehicle as soon as they are removed from packaging

If installation work is interrupted, IMMEDIATELY return belt tensioner unit to its original packaging.

Seat belt tensioner unit must not be exposed to temperatures in excess of 100 °C (212 °F), flying sparks or open flames.

NEVER leave a belt tensioner unattended.

NEVER treat a belt tensioner unit with grease, cleaning products or anything similar. Do NOT expose belt tensioner unit to temperatures
above 100 °C (212 °F) even for a few seconds.
