Press tabs of retaining clip together (arrows).

-

Pull locking cable out of selector mechanism.

Installing 

Note:

When installing ensure locking cable routing is correct refer to Fig. above under Removing.

Take care not to kink locking cable.

^

Adjust locking cable after installing.

Move selector lever to "P".

Press locking cable into support bracket on selector lever housing until tabs on retaining clip (arrows) spread.

-

Attach locking cable in locking lever.

-

Turn ignition ON.

Push locking cable into steering lock.

-

Push clip into locking cable.

-

Ensure clip is properly located.
