Timing Component Alignment Marks: Locations

Caution: Incorrect removal or installation of the timing belt can result in damage to internal engine components.

Timing Component Alignment Marks 

Cylinder head cover, installed 

-

align mark on cover with marks on camshaft sprocket

Cylinder head cover, removed 

-

align mark on camshaft sprocket with cylinder head cover

-

align mark on crankshaft pulley vibration dampener with mark on intermediate sprocket (TDC cylinder 1)
