Starter Motor: Service Precautions

Starter 

Application and safety notes: 

CAUTION:

If assembly work is performed on starter, note the following:
-

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical components and remove ignition key.

Disconnect battery.
When disconnecting and connecting battery, the procedure must be followed as described. 

DTC recognition and display: 
For fault-finding, use the vehicle diagnosis, measurement and information system VAS 5051A, and the function "Guided fault finding".
