Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Drive Plate

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Flywheel Lock Adapter (VW 558)

‹› Depth Gauge

‹› M8 x 45 bolt and two M10 nuts

Loosening and Tightening

-

Secure the (VW 558) to the drive plate using the M8 x 45 bolt. Install two M10 nuts between the (VW 558) and the drive plate.

 (VW 558) installed position: - A - to loosen, - B - to tighten.

Installing

-

Position the drive plate in place, using the washer with notches - 1 -.

-

Install new bolts - 3 - and tighten them to 30 Nm.

-

Check dimension - a - an three points and calculate the mean value.

Specified value: 19.5 to 21.1 mm
