Crankshaft Seal Retainer: Service and Repair

Sealing Flange, Transmission Side

  Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hand Drill with Plastic Brush Attachment

‹› Protective Eyewear

‹› Silicone Sealant (D 174 003 A2)

‹› Guide Sleeve (T20097)

Removing

  ‹› Transmission is removed.

‹› Dual mass flywheel or drive plate is removed, refer to => [ Dual Mass Flywheel ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flywheel/Service and

Repair/Dual Mass Flywheel or => [ Drive Plate ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex Plate/Service and Repair.

Unhook the intermediate plate from the sealing flange and the alignment sleeves - arrows -.

-

Remove the bolts - 1 through 8 -

-

Remove the sealing flange.
