Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Drive Plate

  Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Flywheel Lock Adapter (VW 558)

‹› Depth Gauge

‹› M8 x 40 bolt and M8 nut

Remove the transmission.

Prepare the flywheel lock adapter (VW 558):

-

Tighten the M8 x 40 bolt - A - with a M8 nut on the (VW 558).

Loosening and Tightening:

-

Install the (VW 558) in the cylinder block and drive plate as illustrated.

 (VW 558) installed position: - A - to loosen, - B - to tighten.
