Electrical Accessory Panel: Service and Repair

E-Box, Left Side of Engine Compartment, Through 10.08

‹› Depending on equipment, two different E-boxes are in use (High or Low). The following illustrations depict the High version. Removing and

installing the Low version is performed in the same way.

CAUTION!
When disconnecting and connecting battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the Repair Information => [ Disconnecting
and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment or => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage
Compartment ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting
Batteries In Luggage Compartment.

Removing:

Disconnect battery. Refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment or => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries
In Luggage Compartment ] See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting
Batteries In Luggage Compartment.

Slide securing bracket - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and remove cover of E-box - 2 - upward.

Remove hex nuts - 1 - (M5= 4.5 Nm, M6= 6 Nm).
