Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Spring-type clip pliers (VAS 5024A)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)

Removing:

-

Disconnect battery, refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment ] See: Battery/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment. 

-

Loosen spring-type clamps - 1 - using (VAS 5024 A) and disconnect harness connector - 2 -.

-

Disengage retaining lug - arrow - and remove cover in - direction of arrow -.

-

Release retaining tabs - arrows - and remove air duct - 1 - forward in - direction of arrow - from bracket.
