Remove lock washers - A - and - B -. Lock washers must later be replaced when adjusting cable.

Raise vehicle.

In order to remove cable and/or selector mechanism, heat shield and if necessary exhaust system components must now be removed.

Remove heat shield.

Remove shift mechanism housing beneath selector lever.
In order to remove cable, pin must be pressed upward using a screwdriver.

Simultaneously, press securing tab, which secures the pin, toward front - arrows -.
