Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair

Transmission Oil Cooler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose Clamps up to 25 mm dia. (3094)

‹› Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Place the selector lever in the "P" position.

-

Remove the battery and battery tray.

-

Place a lint free cloth onto the transmission oil cooler and transmission to absorb any leaking coolant.

-

Clamp off the coolant hoses to the oil cooler using (3094 ) and remove them from the cooler.

Remove the bolts - A - and remove the cooler -  B -.
