Front Door Latch: Adjustments

NOTE:  Adjustment is made on right rear double door. Top and bottom door locks must latch completely.

When activating lock from outer door handle, both door locks must unlock at the same time. If door locks unlock audibly one after the other,
perform adjustment described below.

Remove right rear double door trim See 'Body And Frame, Interior Trim.'

Unclip ball joint -1- (figure shows ball joint for upper door lock) at lock mechanism -2-.

Turn ball joint -1- on threaded operating rod to shorten or lengthen rod.

Lengthening operating rod causes respective door lock to unlock "later"; shortening it, makes lock unlock "sooner".

Adjust length of both operating rods so that both door locks can be unlocked individually and simultaneously.
