Fig. 2 Caliper Piston Returning

This caliper uses an internal screw type parking brake self adjusting mechanism. If the caliper piston is pushed back into caliper this mechanism
will be destroyed. Always return piston by rotating it clockwise using a suitable tool.
Always remove some brake fluid from master cylinder reservoir prior to installing new pads. When caliper piston is pushed back, fluid is
forced out of caliper and into reservoir. After pads are installed and seated, refill reservoir to MAX mark.

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear wheels.
2. Disconnect parking cables from caliper, Fig. 1
3. Remove mounting bolts, then the caliper.
4. Screw piston into housing using caliper piston seating tool No. 3272, or equivalent, Fig. 2 by turning clockwise while pushing in firmly.
5. Install brake pads onto carrier, then the caliper and " new self-locking mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to specifications.
6. Reconnect parking brake cable, then adjust parking brake
