Tighten nut.

Tightening Torques:

Nut M 12: 75 Nm (55 ft lb) and turn 90° (1/4 turn) further 

Nut M 14: 160 Nm (118 ft lb)

Front Toe

ADJUSTING FRONT TOE

Loosen lock nut (first turn steering gear to center position)

Turn both tie rods until specification is achieved.

Note:

The steering must remain in the center position.

After turning tie rod, ensure that boots are not twisted. Twisted boots wear out quickly.

STEERING GEAR CENTRAL POSITION

Move steering gear to central position by turning steering wheel from lock to lock and counting the number of turns.

Turn steering wheel back half the number of turns.

^

Precisely align steering spindle with aid of lug (arrow) on rubber washer and notch in housing. Lug and notch must be aligned.
