Wiring Harness And Connector Repairs

Wiring harness repair set VAS 1978

Wiring harness and connector repairs to the vehicle electrical system must only be undertaken with Repair set VAS 1978!

An instruction manual is included in the wiring harness Repair set VAS 1978, in which the procedure for repairs is described in great detail.

Observe the following remarks concerning repairs.

Notes concerning wiring harness and connector repairs

WARNING!

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before starting work on electrical system!

Screened wires may not be repaired. These wires must be replaced complete if damaged.

When repairing airbag wiring harness use only the prescribed contacts, connectors and wires, see  Parts catalogue.

The cause of the damage must be rectified before starting repairs, e.g sharp edged body parts, defective electrical consumers, corrosion
etc.

Wiring repairs may only be undertaken using yellow wiring.
