Antenna Amplifier: Service and Repair

Antenna amplifier

The electronic antenna amplifier is located on bulkhead behind the glove compartment/front passenger airbag.

Voltage supply to electronic antenna amplifier is via the antenna cable.

Removing

-

Remove glove compartment. Vehicles with front passenger airbag remove stowage compartment.

Removing "BETA" and "GAMMA" radios

-

Remove securing nuts -arrows- on antenna amplifier.

Pull antenna input signal cable connector off antenna amplifier.

Take out antenna amplifier when doing this guide antenna cable to radio out as well.

NOTE:  The antenna cable that goes to the radio unit cannot be disconnected at antenna amplifier.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence.
