Control Module (Radio System) Version, Coding (Function 07)

Various standard or optional radio systems are installed from 1992 model year. Coding can only be performed on radio systems with On Board
Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities("Premium IV" radios systems installed from 08.98).

Use this function to code the radio with the various model, radio system and equipment variations available .

Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), input address word 56 "Radio" and then press -> button, until "Select function XX" is shown in display.

Press buttons -0- and -7- to select function 07 "Code control module".

Press -Q- button to confirm input.

Enter code number XXXXX

(0-32000)

Confirm applicable model, radio system and equipment particulars.

Using the above information, determine and enter code number from code table.
