Eurovan V6-2.8L (AXK) (2001)
-
Measure resistance at Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor -G62-, terminals C (signal) and D (Ground -GND-).
Range A shows the resistance values for the temperature range from 0-50 °C, and range B shows the values for the temperature range from 50-100 °C.
Read-out examples:
-
30 °C corresponds to a resistance of 1500 to 2000 Ohms
-
80 °C corresponds to a resistance of 275 to 375 Ohms
specified value is not obtained:
-
Replace Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor -G62- with Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor -G2-.
-
Check DTC memory, repair any malfunctions and then erase DTC memory.
If no malfunctions are found in the wires and the resistance values are OK:
-
Replace Engine Control Module (ECM).
After successful repair:
-
Read readiness code. Refer to Monitors, Trip and/or Drive Cycle (Readiness Codes)/Reading Readiness Code. See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection
If DTC memory was erased or the Engine Control Module (ECM) was disconnected from the continuous B+ supply, the readiness code must be
re-generated. Refer to Monitors, Trip and/or Drive Cycle (Readiness Codes)/Generating Readiness Code. See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection
