Display Group 8

Observe display in field 4.

Display must show "Compr. OFF"

Switch on A/C and select lowest temperature and highest blower speed.

Display in field 4 must change to "Compr. ON"

Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End output" and confirm input with -Q- button.

Switch ignition off.

If display does not appear as described.

-

Connect VAG 1598/18 Test Box to ECM wiring harness.

-

Check wiring (for A/C open circuit) between Test Box sockets 37 and 39 respectively using wiring diagram.
-

wire resistance: 1.5 Ohms maximum

If specification not obtained:

-

Check wiring using wiring diagram 

If wiring OK:

-

Check function of air conditioner control module

-
