Checking EVAP system is activated. You can see in display field 4 which function of leak check is active.

Check specifications in display field 3 and 4.

If leak check was successful, specifications look like this:

If specifications were not obtained:

-

Repeat check.

-

Check DTC memory and then erase memory.

If malfunction is still not eliminated:

-

Check connecting lines and hoses between EVAP canister and tank flap unit or EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1 -N80-.

-

Check fuel filler cap gasket for damage.

-

Ensure fuel filler cap is tightly closed.

-

Check for tight hose connections to EVAP canister system in engine compartment.

-

Check all hoses and hose clamps for tight fit.

-

Check fuel pump gasket for damage, replace if necessary.

-

Ensure fuel pump union nut was tightened. Tighten with wrench 3217.

-

Check supply and return lines for leaks.
