Check for open circuit between Test Box and 8-pin harness connector according to wiring diagram.
terminal 3 + socket 10
terminal 4 + socket 41
terminal 7 + socket 33

wire resistance: Max. 1.5 Ohms

Check wiring at 8-pin connector for short to one another.
terminal 7 + socket 10
terminal 7 + socket 41 
terminal 4 + socket 33
-

specification: infinity Ohms

-

Reconnect Throttle Valve Control Module.

If wiring OK:

-

Replace Engine Control Module -J220-.

Read-out Readiness code. Refer to Monitors, Trip and/or Drive Cycle (Readiness Codes)/Readiness Code Checking See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection 

If DTC memory has been erased:

-

Create Readiness code. Refer to Monitors, Trip and/or Drive Cycle (Readiness Codes)/Readiness Code Generating See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection 

Closed Throttle Position switch, checking

Connect VAG 1551 (VAG 1552) Scan Tool Refer to Scan Tool Testing/VAG 1551 Scan Tool See: Powertrain Management/Computers and
Control Systems/Testing and Inspection

With engine idling, press buttons -0- and -1- to select "Engine electronics" address word 01.

Display will appear as shown
