Check for open circuit between Test Box and 3-pin harness connector using wiring diagram, connect as follows:
terminal 1 + socket 67
terminal 2 + socket 68
terminal 3 + socket 56

wire resistance: 1.5 Ohms maximum

Check wires for possible shorting to one another.
terminal 2 + socket 56
terminal 1 + socket 56
terminal 1 + socket 68
-

specification: infinity Ohms

If wiring OK:

-

Replace Engine Speed sensor -G28- Refer to Monitors, Trip and/or Drive Cycle (Readiness Codes)/Readiness Code Checking. See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection 

If DTC memory has been erased:

-

Create Readiness code.  Refer to Monitors, Trip and/or Drive Cycle (Readiness Codes)/Readiness Code Generating See: Powertrain
