Torsion Bar: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Special Tools and Equipment

3257 plug insert (27 mm)

Removing 

^

Remove fuel tank

^

Remove heat shield for exhaust system (if installed), loosen exhaust system if necessary.

^

Measure projecting end of thread from nut to face side of threaded rod -a- and note value.

^

Release tension rod using 3257 plug insert.

^

Unbolt torsion bar from control arm and remove.

Notes:

Measure standing height.

Standing height adjustment values

Installing 

Installation is the reverse of removal.
