Fuel Pressure on the High Pressure Side, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

-

Vehicle diagnosis tester for example vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 B

-

Test adapter VAS 5570

-

Digital manometer VAS 6394/1

Test Sequence

-

Read safety precautions before beginning work.

-

Observe rules for cleanliness.

CAUTION:  Fuel system is under pressure. Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, the fuel pressure must
be relieved to residual pressure, procedures.

Remove engine cover.

-

Remove Fuel pressure sensor G247.

-

In place of fuel pressure sensor G247 install adapter VAS 6394/2 and tighten it using tightening specification for fuel pressure sensor G247.
-

Tightening specifications.

-

Open sealing plug - 2 - for digital manometer VAS 6394/1 and install the removed fuel pressure sensor G247 and tighten it.
-

Tightening Specifications.
