Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Fuel Pressure Sensor

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Assembly tool T10118

-

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

-

Socket wrench insert, 27 mm VAS 5301/7 (not illustrated)

Removing

NOTE:  Fuel rail assembly overview.

-

Read safety precautions before beginning work.

-

Observe rules for cleanliness.

CAUTION:  Fuel system is under pressure. Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, the fuel pressure must
be relieved to residual pressure, procedures.

Remove charge air guide leading to noise amplifier.

-

Remove upper bracket on generator.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - for coolant line from intake manifold.

-

Disengage connector - 1 - from fuel pressure sensor G247 using assembly tool T10118.

-

Remove fuel pressure sensor G247 using socket wrench insert 27 mm VAS 5301/7

-

Collect escaping fuel with a cleaning cloth.

Installing

-

Tightening Specifications.

Installation is in reverse order
