Reworking cap nut in longitudinal member |
If the threads of the cap nut in the longitudinal member are damaged, the thread must either be retapped or the cap nut must be drilled through. |
When drilling through proceed as follows: |

| Support engine/gearbox assembly with support bracket -10-222/A- and frame -10-222A/1-. |
–
| Drill upwards through damaged cap nut in longitudinal member with a 10.2 mm Ø drill. |
Note When drilling, do not cant the drill. |
WARNING |

| Cut new thread in cap nut. |
–
| Use a new collared bolt to secure subframe . |
