Bolting track rod onto steering rack

–	Centralising steering box.

–	To do this, adjust steering rack in steering box so that projection on left and right is identical (dimension -a-). Distance from shoulder in housing to steering rack face end is measured.

–	Screw lock nuts onto steering rack to stop.

–	Screw track rods on until dimension -b- = 70.5 mm is attained. Distance from shoulder in housing to shoulder on ball joint is measured.

Dimension -b- = 70.5 mm also applies to vehicles with automatic gearbox.
