Assembly overview - vane pump for power assisted steering, reservoir and hydraulic lines
No provision is made for repairing the vane pump. If problems are reported, perform a pressure test and a leakage test and refer to fault finding programmes to determine the cause. If a fault in component exists, vane pump must be renewed.
  Note
t  Replacement pumps are not filled with fluid. Therefore it is essential to fill pump with hydraulic fluid -G 002 000- and to rotate pump by hand. Otherwise pump may be damaged or be noisy during operation.
t  Fluid type: Up to 03.89 ATF, as of 04.89 hydraulic fluid -G 002 000-.
t  Fluid capacity in system: 0.7 ... 0.9 l.
