Adjusting front wheel camber
Adjusting front wheel camber

–  Insert tensioning device -3270- as shown in illustration and pre-tension slightly.
–  Loosen suspension strut/wheel bearing housing threaded connection.
–  Adjust camber by turning the spindle to specified setting.
–  Tighten suspension strut/wheel bearing housing connection.
–  Check camber and repeat adjustment if necessary.
  Note
Slight cant of tool is permitted.
If, during an alignment check, it is discovered that camber is not within tolerance due to other reasons, a bolt at suspension strut/wheel bearing housing connection can be used to correct camber.
  Note
Always check running gear for damage before adjusting camber (visual check). Renew damaged parts.
  V44-0443
A bolt, whose diameter is 1 mm less (Ø 11 mm instead of Ø 12 mm) is available for correcting camber.
A - Standard bolt
B - Bolt for camber correction
 - Part No. N 903 334.01 to be omitted when used up
 - Part No. N 101 740.01 (as of 08.87)
Camber correction of approx. 1° is possible with this bolt.
An attempt should first be made to rectify the complaint by exchanging the upper bolt. Only additionally exchange the lower bolt if this is not sufficient.
