  Note
t  The following list shows all the possible faults, with associated 5-digit fault code, that can be detected by airbag control unit -J234- and printed out on fault reader -V.A.G 1551-.
t  The fault number and flash code appear only in the print-out (five-digit fault number and 4-digit flash code)
t  Before replacing a component shown as faulty, check wiring and connections to the component as well as earth connections according to current flow diagram.
t  Check all relay plate connections are seated securely.
t  After the repair work has been carried out, the fault memory must always be read and erased again using fault reader -V.A.G 1551-.
t  In addition, the fault type may also appear in the fault table.
