| Removing and installing carrier unit |
| Removing |
| – | Removing pre-selector control for sliding/tilting sunroof → Chapter. |
| – | Remove moulded headliner → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70. |
| – | Pull water drain hoses off carrier unit -1--arrows-. |
| – | Remove bolts -2- and -4- (with sleeves) and lift carrier unit out of vehicle with help of second mechanic. |
| Installing |
| – | Insert carrier unit -1-, align to bolt holes and insert bolts -2- and -4- (with sleeves). |
| – | Check correct routing of wiring and connections from electrical consumers in roof and rectify as necessary. |
| – | Tighten bolts (8 Nm) for carrier unit -1-, starting at sliding/tilting sunroof drive mechanism -3- and moving backwards, alternating between left and right-hand sides. |
| – | Fit water drain hoses -arrows-. |
| – | Fit connector for drive mechanism -3-. |
