Adjusting handbrake
A new adjustment is only necessary after renewing, handbrake cables, brake calipers and brake discs.

Remove centre console extension
→ General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.68

Depress foot brake hard at least three times.

Pull handbrake on three times and then release again.

Handbrake lever in released position. Tighten adjusting nut until lever

lifts off the brake caliper stop.

Taken together, the distance to the stops
-arrow-
on left-hand and right-hand brake calipers must not be less than 1 mm or more than 3 mm.
–
Check that both wheels turn freely.
Due to the automatic rear wheel brake adjustment there is no requirement to adjust the handbrake after making new/initial adjustment.
