t  Hand vacuum pump -V.A.G 1390-
Test prerequisites
l  No faults in fault memory: → Rep. Gr.01.
l  Final control diagnosis has been performed → Rep. Gr.01.
l  Vacuum pipes and hose connections free of leaks.
l  Vacuum lines not blocked or kinked.
Test procedure
–  Remove engine cover.
  W00-0515
–  Pull off vacuum hose -1- on secondary air inlet valve -N112--2-.
–  Connect hand vacuum pump -V.A.G 1390- to vacuum hose -1-.
  Note
Do not use compressed air during the following check!
  N26-0219
–  Remove pressure hose -arrow- on secondary air pump motor -V101- and blow into hose gently -arrow-. Combination valve must be closed.
–  Operate hand vacuum pump -V.A.G 1390-. Combination valve must open.
If combination valve does not open:
–  Renew combination valve.
