Procedure
–  First print out identification of previous control unit → Chapter.
  Note
If control unit version does not correspond to vehicle, renew control unit. Current part number for engine control unit: → Electronic parts catalogue
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove wiper arms and plenum chamber cover: → Rep. Gr.92
–  Release connector from control unit and remove.
   
–  Press control unit to right and remove.
–  Insert new control unit and press to left.
–  Adapt control unit to → Chapter; adapt components.
–  Then read fault memory of new engine control unit and erase fault memory if necessary → Chapter.
–  Carry out road test.
–  Read control unit fault memory again.
