t  Voltage tester -V.A.G 1527B-
  W00-0513
t  Auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-
t  Current flow diagram
Test prerequisite
  W00-10008
l  All fuses must be OK.
Test procedure
–  Remove engine cover.
  N24-0940
–  Pull off 2-pin connector from continued coolant circulation pump -V51--arrow-.
Checking function
  N19-0344
–  Connect contacts of continued coolant circulation pump -V51- to battery using cables from auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-. Continued coolant circulation pump -V51- must run.
If continued coolant circulation pump -V51- does not run:
–  Renew continued coolant circulation pump -V51-.
If the continued coolant circulation pump -V51- runs:
Checking activation
–  Switch ignition on and off again.
  N19-0175
–  Connect voltage tester -V.A.G 1527B- with cables from auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C- to removed connector of continued coolant circulation pump -V51- LED must light up.
  Note
This check must be performed within 10 minutes of switching ignition off.
If LED does not light up:
–  Locate and eliminate open circuit using current flow diagram → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
