Checking pressure release valve on air conditioner compressor (Sanden and Zexel)

WARNING

Danger of freezing injuries.

The pressure relief valve releases refrigerant when the engine is running and the pressure in the refrigerant circuit is too high.

Switch off engine.

t	Function: protects refrigerant circuit against excessive pressures.

t	The high-pressure safety valve indicates if the valve has operated. A small plate attached by adhesive will be pushed out.

t	In this case, the vehicle should be sent to a workshop with appropriate equipment and specially trained mechanics.
