Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
t  Hand-cartridge gun -V.A.G 1628-
t  Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051-
t  Diagnosis cable, 3 m with voltage supply -VAS 5051/1- or diagnosis cable, 5 m without voltage supply -VAS 5051/3-
t  High performance oil for Haldex coupling, container size 0.25 l - -G 052 175 A1-

–  Connect vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051-.
–  In the display, select „Running gear (repair group 01; 40 ... 49)“.
–  Select „All-wheel drive with Haldex coupling“ on display.
–  Select „01 - Self-diagnosis-capable system“ on display.
–  Select „All-wheel drive Haldex“ on display.
–  Select „Electrical components“ on display.
–  Select „Oil temperature“ on display.
l  The oil temperature must be between 20 and 40 °C .
l  The oil temperature can be attained by running engine until warm.
–  Place drip tray underneath.
   
–  Remove drain plug -arrow- and drain oil completely.
–  Insert cartridge with 0.25 l oil in hand-cartridge gun -V.A.G 1628-.
–  Have drain plug with new seal ready.

–  Guide hand-cartridge gun -V.A.G 1628- vertically into drain hole -arrow-.
–  Pump oil completely into Haldex coupling.
–  Lay hand-cartridge gun -V.A.G 1628- aside and immediately screw in drain plug with new seal and tighten to specified torque.
–  Check oil level in Haldex coupling → Chapter.
