Installation position
t  1 - Footwell vent
t  2- Dash panel support
t  3 - Heater

–  Switch off ignition.
–  Disconnect battery earth strap → Vehicle electrics; Rep. Gr.27.

–  Pull clip -2- for locking cable -3- upwards off ignition/starter switch -1-.
Depending on installation position of clip, the steering wheel, dash panel trim, steering column trim and handle for steering column adjustment must be removed to create space → Running gear; Rep. Gr.48.
–  Turn ignition key to ignition on position.
–  Move selector lever to “P” position.
–  Pull locking cable out of steering lock.
–  Remove selector lever handle → Chapter.
–  Remove centre console and extension → General body repairs; Rep. Gr.68.

–  Remove locking cable from lever
–  Press retaining tabs -arrows- together and pull cable out of selector mechanism.
–  Remove locking cable.
