Vehicles with inspection plug in final drive
l  Oil level must always be checked with gearbox installed.
l  Vehicle must be standing level
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
  W00-0427
–  Remove inspection plug -1- for gear oil and top up with gear oil to lower edge of hole.
Oil level is correct when gearbox is filled to lower edge of filler hole.
–  Screw in plug -1- with new seal.
Torque setting 25 Nm.
