t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
Removing
Observe safety precautions → Chapter.
Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
  Note
The fuel cooler is located in the return line to the fuel tank. It is located on the vehicle underbody.

–  Remove cover -A-.
–  Detach fuel lines from fuel cooler.
–  Remove securing nuts -arrows-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the following:
t  Tighten fuel cooler securing nuts to 20 Nm.
