Installing > < Removing and installing oil sump

Removing
–  Remove centre and right insulation tray → Rep. gr.50.
–  Drain engine oil.
  Note
Observe environmental regulations for disposal.
–  Pull 3-pin connector off oil level and oil temperature sender -G266-.
–  Loosen or tighten sump bolts using 10 mm jointed wrench -3185-. Loosen and tighten only flywheel-end bolts using Allen key, long reach -T10058-.
–  Remove sump, it may be necessary to release sump by tapping lightly with a rubber head hammer.
–  Remove sealant residue from cylinder block with a flat scraper.
   
–  Remove sealant residue on sump with a rotating brush, e.g. a hand drill with a plastic brush (wear eye protection).
–  Clean sealing surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
