• ◆ V.A.G 1783 Torque wrench (2 ... 10 Nm)

Removing

• ‒ Remove fuel delivery unit .

• ‒ → Pull off earth strap -1-.
• ‒ Pull supply hose on connection -3- or -4- off (depending upon accessibility). To do this press safety ring on connector in.
• ‒ Loosen clamp -2- and remove fuel filter -5- sidewards.

Installing

• ‒ → Position fuel filter -7- as shown in the figure.

•      α -     approx. 20°
•      3 -     Supply pipe
•      4 -     Return pipe
•      5 -     Vessel-Fuel tank

• ‒ Tighten fixed clamp -2-.

• Torque setting: 3 Nm

• ‒ Connect supply pipe -6- to the fuel tank union or the fuel filter.

Notes:

• ◆ Observe fitting position:
  Long straight connection -arrow- shows to the fuel filter.
• ◆ Connector must audibly engage. Check for correct seat by tightening.
