Checking spray pressure and checking for leaks
  WARNING
When testing injectors ensure that the jet of fuel does not contact the hands as the high pressure will cause the fuel to penetrate the skin and may cause severe injuries.
   
–  Connect injector to injector tester -V.A.G 1322-.
–  Press pump lever down slowly. When spray begins, read off opening pressure.
For deviations from specification renew injector.
Engine codes AGR, AHF, AGP, AQM
Specifications: (Pressure) new injectors: 190 ... 200 bar Wear limit: 170 bar
Engine codes ALH, ASV
Specifications: (Pressure) new injectors: 220 ... 230 bar Wear limit: 200 bar
Checking for leaks
–  Move pump lever down slowly and maintain a pressure of approx. 150 bar for 10 seconds. No fuel should leak from the nozzle tip.
–  If injector leaks, replace.
