Removing
–  Remove steering wheel → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.
Remove steering column switch trim and coil connector or steering angle sender -G85- → .
   
–  Remove bolt for steering column switch and remove steering column switch.
–  Remove plastic cover over shear bolts.
The ignition key removal lock cable also must be unhooked on vehicles with an automatic gearbox → Chapter.

–  Chisel off shear bolts with a suitable chisel.
Remove ignition switch and lock cylinder → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.94/ → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.94.
