When retrofitting a transmitter/receiver unit in the vehicle the battery is used to connect the positive and negative wire. |
In addition, the wiring harness must be manufactured: |
t
| Positive voltage supply via a red wire with 2.5 mm cross-section. |
t
| Negative voltage supply via a brown wire with 2.5 mm cross-section. |
The positive wire must have a fuse which must be located very close to the battery. For this purpose, a fuse holder must be secured next to the battery. The positive and negative wires must be encased together in a single insulating tube. |
Appropriate connections must be attached to wires on the battery side. |
Proceed according to unit's operating manual on side of unit. |
The additional wiring must be routed separately from vehicle wiring, and a distance of at least 10 cm must be maintained. |
Note t
| Ensure wiring connections are not routed parallel to the standard wiring. |
