| Deactivating electronic anti-theft system |
| Reactivating the system is only possible by entering the correct electronic anti-theft alarm code number. |

| The code number for the electronic anti-theft system is attached to the radio card together with the unit number. → Operating manual |

| The radio card should not be kept in the vehicle for security reasons. Obtain code number for unit. |

| If a radio unit is replaced, the code number of the replacement radio must be used. |
| t
| The customer must be informed that the code number has changed. |

| Obtain code number for unit. |

| Switch radio navigation system on. |
| The word “SAFE” appears in the display. Above this the note “Please enter code” and the figures “0000” appear. |

| Enter the code number that has been stuck onto the radio card by selecting the relevant numbers from the letters and numbers selection box one after another and confirming. |
Note | Entering the 1st number overwrites the row of figures “0000”. |

| Confirm the code by pressing the right-hand rotary/press button. |
| The unit will be released and is ready for use. |
| If the code number has been entered correctly into the radio unit, the light emitting diode located on the top right of the unit will flash when the ignition key is removed. If the diode flashes the radio is ready for operation and the electronic anti-theft coding is active. |
| If an incorrect code number has been entered inadvertently to release the electronic lock, “SAFE” appears in display, flashing at first and then appearing continuously. Now the procedure to release the electronic lock can be repeated once more. |
| If an incorrect code number is entered again the unit is blocked for 60 minutes. |
| A further attempt to release the electric lock is only possible after the blocking period has elapsed. |
| During the blocking period the unit must remain switched on and the ignition key must remain in the ignition lock. |
| After the blocking period has elapsed the number of attempts in the display is erased and the electronic lock can be released as described. |
