Deactivating electronic anti-theft system
Deactivating electronic anti-theft system
On new radio units the anti-theft coding is active first after entering the correct code number.
A blocked (locked) radio unit will only work again if the correct code number for the electronic anti-theft system is entered.
  Note
t  The code number for the electronic anti-theft system along with the unit number are stuck on the radio card → Operating manual.
t  The radio card should not be kept in the vehicle for security reasons. Request the code number from the customer, if necessary.
t  If a radio unit is replaced, the code number of the replacement radio must be used.
t  The customer must be informed that the code number has changed.
–  Obtain code number for unit.
–  Switch radio unit on.
–  Press keys TP and TA simultaneously until “1000” appears in the frequency display. Release keys.
–  Use station buttons 1 to 4 to enter the code number stuck onto the radio card. Button 1 is used to enter the first digit of the code number, button 2 for the second digit, etc.
–  Then finally press keys TP and TA simultaneously again until “SAFE” appears in the frequency display. Release keys. Shortly afterwards a frequency will automatically appear.
If the code number has been entered correctly into the radio unit, when the ignition key is removed the diode located next to the unit name will flash. If the diode flashes the radio is ready for operation and the electronic anti-theft coding is active.
