Removing and installing steering column switch
Removing and installing steering column switch
  WARNING
To disconnect and reconnect the battery, the procedure described in the workshop manual should be strictly adhered to → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench (5 - 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-
Removing:
–  Disconnect battery → Chapter.
–  Remove driver's airbag unit → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.
–  Remove steering wheel → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.
–  Remove coil connector with slip ring → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69
–  Disconnect multi-pin connectors of steering column switch.

–  Undo clamping screw of steering column switch -arrow- and pull steering column switch backwards off steering column.
Installing:
Install in reverse order of removal.
